To celebrate its 20th anniversary Vox feminae is visiting Paris November 21st-25th.
During this first visit to Paris, Vox feminae will emphases on promoting Icelandic music, as well such as César Franck, Gabriel Fauré and Josef Rheinberger.
Sigrún Hjálmtýsdóttir soprano and Guðný Einarsdóttir pianist will be performing with Vox feminae in Paris. Vox feminae‘s conductor from the beginning is Margaret J. Pálmadóttir.
In Paris, the choir will have a concert in the oldest church in Paris, Saint-Germain-de-Prés thursday Nov. 21st at 20:30, sing in Notre Dame at 11:30 on Friday 22nd and participate in a mass at Notre Dame on Sunday November 24th at 12:45.
Vox feminae will perform at Grensáskirkja on November 13th, where guests have the opportunity to listen to some of the music the choir will sing in Paris. The concert at Grensáskirkja begins at 20:30 and the fee is ISK 2000. Tickets can be bought from choir members and at the entrance.
